Working on a new piece, so I suppose here I can suss out details about her for folks interested in reading! Our Lady Ursula of Family, Protection and Retribution (or Lady Ursula for short) – an ethereal woman clad in bearskins; some say she is as pale as the moon itself (surprise; she’s a straight up embodiment of the moon, along with being a werebear variant of a selkie.) She is the patron for mothers, children, families broken and solvent, and bastards. In the universe she's from, Ursites worship Lady Ursula through prayer, caring/nurturing loved ones, and devoting oneself through acts of unconditional love. Common gestures include a hand symbol of making two C-shades, followed by the right hand making a clockwise motion (counter-clockwise to the gesture-maker.) It's basically the three moons as a hand gesture. A ritual commonly used is to cut one's palm and, using the blood drawn, make blood runes in the ground/on trees as a safeguard from danger. Use of animal blood is forbidden, especially the blood of young animals. It must be the caster's for the belief is you must be willing to shed your own blood to protect the blood of those you care for. "So they will not spill their blood, I have spilt mine for you." - A common prayer used for this ritual Laid down some sweet workable fixative to preserve the graphite! I'm really excited to work with her, and make some more deities.
